Maria Gaitanidi
We Are Raw Material's artistic director, Maria is an experienced theatre director and actors’ trainer working in the UK, Italy and Greece. She is passionate of composition challenging our ways of seeing and understanding the world. She studied with Luc Dardenne, Anatoli Vassiliev and Maud Robart. Maria's work encompasses various artistic forms from theatre performance, poetry recital, site-specific action, live installation, film and laboratory. She has directed plays by A. Chekhov, L. Pirandello, Plato, Euripides, F. Lorca, T. Williams, H. Pinter and Shakespeare amongst others. She just completed her first short film Salt Wound in 2019 and is currently writing a feature film.

Stacy martin
Stacy is an actress and producer, she met Maria during an actors workshop in 2013 and since then they have worked together on various projects.

Melissa riggall
Melissa has been working with Maria as an actress since 2013. She has studied Physical Theatre and Devising at LISPA.
Mariza Papadimitriou

Mario Monopoli
James northcote
Mario studied Dramatic Art with Anatoli Vassiliev and graduated as theatre pedagogue from L'Isola della Pedagogia in Venice (the project was awarded with the Premio UBU 2012). He has developed further his theatre methodology throug his encounter with Jose’ Sanchis Sinisterra work on the actor's dramaturgy.
He attended courses for professional actors at the Italian European School directed by R. Scarpa.
He has also studied with Peter Clough, Nikolaj Karpov, Augusti’ Humet, Natalia Orekova, Anton Milenin, Michele Monetta.
As an actor, he has worked in various Italian productions amongst which Hamelin ( the production was awarded with the premio UBU 2008 for best new foreign performance) and he has also directed independent research groups in Verona and Luxembourg.
He currently directs laboratories for actors in Italy.

mattia mariotti
Mattia has studied Philosophy and Clowning. He met Maria whilst completing his MA at Central School of speech and drama and they have been working together since on various laboratory and performance projects.
daphne psarros
Daphne works on film as AD and Script Assistant. She is passionate about cinema and theatre and has assisted on projects in both art forms in France and Greece. She was AD on the shoot of Salt Wound in Crete and there are plans for further collaboration in 2019. She just finished shooting her first short in Athens.
